The Future is Unwritten...........so make it what you want it to be.

After 44 League games, 5 FA Cup games, 2 League Cup games and 1 Johnstones Paint Trophy game, we go into May still fully capable of achieving promotion to the Championship.

Up first a trip to Merseyside to play Tranmere, very much relegation contenders, in fact if we beat them and other results go against them they could be relegated. They know this and this game won't be easy, certainly not as easy as our 5-0 demolition of them at the New Den in October. They have home form of 10-3-9 (the 3rd best in the bottom half of the table) scoring 28 and conceding 32 goals. The top half of the table teams they have beaten at home are Norwich, Southampton, Bristol Rovers & Brentford. They have failed to score in 8 home games and kept clean sheets in only 5.
Their topscorers are Ian Thomas-Moore(13), Curran(7), Welsh & Edds(4). Top assists are from Logan(5) & Goodison(4).
Historically our record at their place is very poor, 1-2-8 scoring 12 conceding 25.
(Last season - won 3-1)

Last up a home game against Swindon, who depending on Leeds' results could be our fellow Play-Off participants or our last obstacles to promotion. They have away form of 9-8-5 scoring and conceding 29 goals. They have failed to score in 5 away games, but kept clean sheets in 8.
Their topscorers are Paynter(26), Austin(19) & Ward(5). Most assists come from McGovern(17), Paynter(6) & Sheehan(5).
Our record against them at home is very good, 22-15-4 scoring 76 and conceding 36.
(Last season - drew 1-1)

Runners up or Play-Offs? Who knows. We need Leeds to drop points and make sure we grab our chance by getting maximum points, and if that doesn't happen then we get a 2nd chance at the Play-Offs, after the cruelty of last years final. It's fantastically exciting and seems to have re-energised the fans. Let's hope that at 16:50 on the 8th it's us that are celebrating a great end to a great season.
