At the time of that book we were very much on a downer after missing out on promotion in 71/72 and a legendary "real Wall" side was gradually starting to unravel. In Family, we were very much on the up, after the shit we'd been through in the Tuttle/Spackman/Lee period, and we'd built a "real Wall" side again with a manager and players that understood what playing for Millwall means.

One of the worries for me this season was that the "real Wall-ness" seemed to be unravelling again with some of the "guvnors" leaving and certain players coming in that just don't/didn't have "it" but hopefully with the signing of a young player like Lowry we are moving back in the right direction.
