On the bright side October.

First game of the month on the 1st day of the month we lost 1-0 to Burnley
(Last season - drew 1-1)

After a 2 week break of epic boring proportions we play again, against high-flying
Middlesbrough who sit 2nd in the table. Despite being 2nd they have quite poor home
form of 1-4-0 scoring 6 and conceding 4. Their last 3 results, home and away, have
been 0-0, 0-0 &, yes, 0-0.
Their topscorers are Emnes (8) & Robson (3). Most assists come from Mcdonald (3) &
Bennett (2).
Our record at their place is poor, 2-2-12 scoring 11 while conceding 30.
(Last season - won 1-0)

Three days later we host Brighton, another highly placed team. They have away form
of 3-0-2 scoring 6 and conceding 5. They seem to have hit a bit of a rocky patch of
form, in their last 5 games in all competitions they've drawn 1 and lost 4.
Their topscorers are Barnes (7), Mackail-Smith (6) & Buckley (2). While Noone, Barnes,
Mackail-Smith (3) & Dicker (2) have the most assists.
Our record against them at our place is good 20-9-11 scoring 73 while conceding 43.
(Last season - n/a)

And then we visit Leicester, the big spenders this season who sit 8th in the table,
despite their largesee in the transfer markets. They have home form of 3-0-2 scoring
9 and conceding 6. They have won their last 3 home games (against Derby, Brighton &
Southampton).
Their topscorers are Schlupp (5), Dyer & Nugent (3) and Gallagher & Vassell (2).
Gallagher & Danns (3), King, Schlupp & Fernandes (2) have the most assists.
Our record away to Leicester is very poor 2-4-10 scoring 12 and conceding 35.
(Last season - lost 4-2)

And lastly this month, a home game against Ipswich Town. They have away form of 2-1-2
scoring 5 and conceding 9. They've kept 3 clean sheets on the road.
Their topscorers are Andrews & Chopra (4). While Cresswell & Chopra (2) have the most
assists.
Our record against them at our place is decent 10-6-4 scoring 34 while conceding 24.
(Last season - won 2-1)

So far this season it seems points have been hard to come by and on first sight at this
months fixtures that doesn't look like improving this month, but football 'is a
funny old game' and the only thing you should expect is the unexpected.
